TL;DR: Belden's charged me for work they didn't do. They missed an OBVIOUS safety issue. They don't stand behind their services. They want to keep your car for DAYS and DAYS before actually working on it. I went to Belden's this year because I had gone to them last year to get my parking brake looked at. They said (last year) they inspected and adjusted it, and "all it needed was some lube". Well, the first time I actually tried to use the brake it didn't work. According to them they have a 2 year/24K mile warranty on all work. So I went to get it inspected again. I dropped off my car at 8:10 am on Saturday (they open at 8), and they told me they had just a couple of other cars to get to and then it would be my turn. I decided to do some shopping, so I left. I got a call at 1 pm telling me they were closing early and they HAD taken my car apart, but HADN'T "inspected" it, but they "think" it might be the parking brake shoes. They also wanted to keep my car all weekend, and said they *might* be able to start working on it Monday morning. Then they told me that neither the parking brake inspection, nor the work necessary to fix the brake would be covered under their warranty. When I asked what would be covered under their warranty, they told me "nothing". I picked up my car and took it straight to the dealer. When I got there, they told me someone had put the wrong size brake rotors (too narrow) on my half ton truck, and that only one brake was functioning properly. They also showed me that it had been that way for a while, and that it was obvious: anyone trying to fix the parking brake would have to remove the regular brakes to get to them. Considering that the only people to work on my car was Belden previously, that scares and angers me. Especially since I have kids, and they ride with me in the truck daily. Also, they keep reporting to Carfax that they did work they didn't do, so now I realize that Carfax is a wash. At least my dealership fixed everything and did it right. Yay, Cavender's!

Belden's automotive told me I needed a $900 brake job!! I got a second opinion and the next garage told me I didn't need a brake job... they said the vehicle was fine and no work was needed. Belden's had charged me $48 to just diagnose my car and the next garage didn't charge me a dime! I will never take my business there again! This was such a scam!!

Took my car to in to this place because the headlights would occasionally stay on, even when the switch was off. I figured it was some electrical issue. They couldn't find the problem, but insisted on charging me a $100 diagnostic fee. Most mechanics that I have experience with only charge me *if* they were able to determine the cause of the problem. I objected to their diagnostic fee and asked to speak to a supervisor or manager. A *very* rude guy nearby claimed that he was the manager and gave me a long, long, lecture about why I should pay them their fee. I listened patiently but maintained that I would not pay. He then said that I was not welcome there and asked me to never return. I solved the headlight problem by replacing a $16 relay that I bought at Auto Zone.

My windshield wipers had stopped working and I had a friend recommend Belden's. When I called Gill helped me set up an appointment for the next day. They gave me a ride back after dropping off my car and picked me up again to go get it when the repair was done. Gill explained everything in a professional manner. Overall I was pleased with the experience. Very courteous, friendly and professional people.

At the worst possible time my AC went out in my 2003 Honda Accord. I expected, as usually happens with auto mechanics in my experience, that not only would they gouge me on price, but they would find other problems that they would make sound severe or that I had already taken care of maintenance-wise. Neither happened. I got the best service: patient, polite, and attentive. The price was even less than I was dreading after doing some of my own research. To sum it all up, I was very pleased with every aspect of my service here, and would bring my car back again for sure. Ask for Charlie, if you bring your business here; he helped me and was fantastic.

Our family SUV ('09 Chevy Traverse) had several issues with it that we needed to get fixed before our extended warranty expired. We took it to Belden's because we heard their customer service was great and that they do great work. Charlie at the Bulverde Rd location was very personable and professional with me. They were able to diagnose all the issues, including a/c compressor leak, steering pump problems, and a vapor emissions system issue. Charlie called the warranty company and had an adjuster come out to verify the issues. Turns out the warranty company didn't think the problems were bad enough to condemn the parts for the steering and a/c and to have their replacements covered. Charlie was very straight-forward with me and told me they could do some temporary fixes, but was confident the issues would come back. We did that, and sure enough, the next week the issues were back. We took the car back in, they ran their diagnostics again, and proved the problems still existed. Charlie called the warranty company again, and they still didn't want to cover anything. Charlie fought tooth and nail to prove to the warranty company that the parts were malfunctioning. After hours of being on the phone with them, the warranty company finally gave in and covered EVERYTHING, even OEM parts that come the a 2-year warranty and not the parts the warranty company wanted to use. The work was done relatively quickly and everything works great now. I would definitely recommend Belden's for their customer service. They are dedicated to doing the right thing.

We came to Texas 4 years ago and found Belden's on Bulverde about a year later. I have been completely satisfied with their work and with the time the service writer's take to explain the problem and their suggested remedy. On my last visit they brought me home and then picked me up when the service was complete. I love the "Porter" service. Steve and Chris (the guys who answer the phone) are effective and happy to be on the job. I appreciate the discount coupons I receive in the mail and online, and I love that this is a locally, family owned business. My car and I feel blessed at Belden's. Marjorie Cochran.
